CTWS Information for Parents

Drop off/Pick Up:

Students must be dropped off and picked up directly in front of the theatre so the student exits the car directly onto the theatre’s sidewalk. The traffic between the theatre and Western Springs Recreational Center is heavy and can be dangerous. If a parent parks in the lot, we require that the parent walk the student across the street. Students should enter and exit through the lower level doors and arrive no earlier than ten minutes before class time and wait for their instructor in the Cattell lobby. Parents should pick up their children directly after class.

Attendance:

Students are expected to attend every class. In the event of a necessary absence, a parent must notify CTWS by calling 708-246-4043 and select the mailbox for reporting absences. If you are calling after hours, simply leave a message. Both the child’s and instructor’s names are needed to insure that the absence is properly recorded as "excused". Each student is entitled to a maximum of six absences each school year. Unexcused absences or any over the maximum, will affect a child’s casting eligibility. Missing more than half of a class on any given week counts as an absence.
